Being out there in community

An important aspect of St Ann's is playing an active part within our local communities. That is why we have no less than 5 congregations, two of them being located with the Tiverton and Broadwater Farm estates. Our heart is to let everyone know that whoever they are, whatever their background or situation, that we care for them and that they matter.

Here are some of the ministries that we are involved in throughout the neighbourhood.

The Fowler Newsam Hall Counselling Project provides early intervention counselling for the social and emotional needs of both primary and secondary school aged children within 31 schools across West and East Haringey.

We run an active chaplaincy to St Anns Hospital, using both staff and volunteers. For more information contact the Rev. Jan Lowe on janlowe@btinternet.com

The vicar of St Anns, Rev. John Wood is the organising chaplain for the team that supports Harringay Police Services. Charlie Lacey, an Ex Royal Marine now training for the Anglican ministry, assists John three days a week. For more information contact Charlie on delacey76@hotmail.com

Youth and Schools Work

We regularly visit and are in contact with over 15 local Schools both Primary and Secondary. The Schools worker is David Asiimwe. For information contact David on davmwe@yahoo.com

We run a large number of different youth groups across the Tottenham area, as well as doing detached work on the streets of Tottenham.
We also run Guides, Brownies and Rainbow groups.

For more information about all our youth activities, please contact our Youth Team on the Parish Office 0208 211 8710.
